Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Compliance Program Methodology & Operations Consultant to support execution of the global compliance risk management program. This role will report to the Head of Compliance Methodology & Operations and interact on a regular basis with a broad group of stakeholders across the lines of defense to support and enhance State Street's compliance risk management activities.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in risk management and experience designing, executing and/or evaluating compliance risk management programs in the financial services sector.

The role can be performed in number of locations across United States. Standard hybrid model is 4 days onsite, 1 day remote, bit may vary in different officers. Possible locations are: Boston & Quincy, MA; Stamford, CT; Kansas City, MO; Atlanta, GA; Clifton & Princeton, NJ; Berwyn, PA, Austin; TX.

What you will be responsible for

As a Compliance Program Methodology & Operations Consultant, you will:


  • Develop and maintain procedures, guidance, job aids and tools to support execution of the compliance risk management program

  • Facilitate compliance risk management program processes with stakeholders across the Department in line with procedures

  • Design, document and execute key controls within compliance risk management program processes

  • Develop and operationalize production of key metrics to monitor execution of the compliance risk management program on an ongoing basis

  • Prepare periodic reporting for senior management and governance bodies related to compliance risk management program execution

  • Develop and implement training to promote the effective execution of the compliance risk management program

  • Manage and respond to inquiries pertaining to the compliance risk management program

  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance the compliance risk management program effectiveness leveraging data-driven insights to optimize procedures, oversight and reporting

  • Collaborate and coordinate across the lines of defense to stay apprised of changes that may impact the compliance risk management program and to align methodology, where appropriate

  • Support execution of the Department's strategic initiatives related to continuous improvement of the compliance risk management program

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 8+ years' work experience in a risk and control or audit function within the financial services sector

  • Prior experience designing, executing and/or evaluating compliance risk management programs, including a sound understanding of Federal Reserve SR 08-8

$80 000 - $132 500 Annual
