Volt is immediately hiring for a Process Controller in Irwindale, California.
As a Process Controller you will:
Serve as the key liaison between the production and quality teams to ensure all forging processes follow proper instructions.
Witness and monitor forging and thermal operations, reporting any discrepancies or deviations.
Support internal heat treatment operations and other supplemental thermal processes such as pre-heating and stress relief.
Set furnace temperatures, operate timers, change charts, and manage temperature recording systems.
Oversee furnace maintenance and troubleshoot instrumentation and combustion systems.
Conduct Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), including prepping instrumentation and removing debris.
Collaborate with Quality, Production Planning, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure all operations meet NADCAP, safety, and quality standards.
This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2nd shift; regular overtime and occasional weekends required
The ideal candidate will have:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
The ability to read technical information including temperature charts, soak times, and pyrometer readings.
Basic math and computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Forklift certification (or willingness to be certified within 60 days).
A commitment to quality practices and safety standards.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
