Responsibilities


Position Summary

We are seeking a temporary intern to support the PSA Inflight Training organization by designing/implementing/maintaining key analytical programs to include timing studies of various training programs, set-up and data analytics of an Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), and other key projects as assigned.


Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct a review of the existing flight attendant training curriculum to identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform time studies for each training module to identify where efficiencies can be gained.
  • Collaborate with training instructors to identify training areas that can be streamlined without sacrificing quality.
  • Provide recommendations for changes to the training curriculum based on findings.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and training team members.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data as Inflight Services incorporates an Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) to mirror ASAP programs from other work groups.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Specifics


Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Aviation Management or related discipline or equivalent work aviation industry experience.
  • 2+ years of an equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors.
  • Strong technical consulting/customer service background, as well as excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to handle operational issues effectively, understanding escalation, communication, and crisis management.
  • Gained experience in managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects.
  • Gained experience in leading multi-discipline, high-performance work teams/groups.
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • MBA or other advanced degree/qualification.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Skilled in creating annual budgets and tracking to make sure they are met.

Additional Information

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Assistant Director of Inflight Training & Standards

Supervisory Responsibility: This position will not have direct reports.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
