The Treatment Plant Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervision and direction of employees operating at a 24/7 Wastewater Facility. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for assisting the Engineering Management team via reporting, policy and procedure implementation, to maintain and improve plant operation within regulations and approved budget.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage, Assess, and Coach employee performance and workflow
Ensure that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met
Plan, assign, and schedule Operators to maintain the wastewater treatment plant on a 7-day week, 24-hour daily basis.
Manage time and attendance, PTO requests, etc.
Ensure full compliance with all company safety policies
Reporting performance records and evaluations to HR and Senior Management
Interviewing, hiring, training and onboarding new hires
Design, recommend, and implement policies and procedures to streamline and improve plant operations
Prepare and review reports submitted to regulatory agencies as well as other technical reports
Inspect and monitor treatment plant to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Permit Regulation as well as Wastewater Treatment standards
Input, access, and analyze plant operations data
Coordinate and maintain communications with the Engineering Management Team
Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and administration
Coordinate and/or perform complex repairs and installation related to treatment plant and equipment
Perform duties of an operator as needed.
Investigate any complaints concerning treatment plant operations and take appropriate actions to solve problems
Oversee the maintenance of Plant operations records
Observation of variations in operating conditions, interpretation of meter and gauge readings and testing of results to determine processing requirements
Provide facility tour as necessary
Assist in the evaluation of equipment, prioritization of repair assignments, and requisition of parts as well as other maintenance needs
Supervises facility engineering activities including material ordering, shipping, labor plans, job site supervision, job folder updates, develop SOP's, O&M manuals, and reports.
Maintain and champion Wind River Environmental EH&S and compliance standards.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Sills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of wastewater treatment operations preferred
Wastewater Operator Certification preferred or be willing to obtain
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
Ability to read, understand, interpret and apply permit regulations
Ability to create and implement Standard Operating Procedures
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Comfortable using a computer for various tasks
Minimum Education, Experience & Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Environmental field (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Chemical, etc.)
3 years or more demonstrated supervisory experience directly managing a team of trades people
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
