About the Role:
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. This position is part of the Information Technology group and will work as part of the existing Engineering team. The role is to migrate existing servers and applications to the Azure cloud, design and build infrastructure using Azure services for new applications. Entra ID and Defender experience is a huge plus
Design and deploy scalable Azure cloud solutions tailored to client needs.
Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas and technologies quickly.
Strong knowledge of identity and access management in Azure (e.g., Azure AD, RBAC).
Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for deploying and managing applications.
Understanding of Azure security features, encryption methods, and compliance standards.
Experience conducting proof-of-concept, developing prototyping and building reference models.
Excellent MS office (M365) skills including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project or similar project management software tools.
Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management.
Additional understanding of other cybersecurity practices, such as encryption, identity and access management (IAM), network security, vulnerability management, and incident response
Design and implement secure cloud architectures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and overall best practices
Stay up to date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in cloud security; recommend plans of action to respond and adapt to changing landscape
Develop documentation and training for cloud and developer security
Participate in the implementation, administration as well as support of Entra ID and Active Directory solutions and systems
Handle Entra ID tenant and AD domain administration (Events, Incidents and Requests) based on a defined, ticket-driven service catalog
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and MSP operations.
Proficiency in cloud architecture, deployment, and management.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
