 The Interim Nurse Director of Surgical Services will be joining a state-of-the-art, 130+ patient bed, Level III Trauma Center that is home to a number of advanced inpatient and outpatient medical specialties such as 24/7 emergency care, cardiovascular services, Women and Infant Services, and a superior array of invasive and non-invasive surgical services. Surgical procedures include orthopedic, ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, podiatry, neurology, spine, ENT, general, bariatric, and other progressive services.

 The Interim Nurse Director of Surgical Services will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be supported by clinical supervisors, charge nurses, CNORs, and other department leaders. This is a tight-knit perioperative services department consisting of 7 ORs, 16 pre-op and post bays, 2 endoscopy suites, and 11 PACU recovery room bays. Average monthly volume consists of 450 cases in this relatively busy, upbeat perioperative department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Interim Director of Surgical Services to join a new team in a beautiful, coastal PNW location.

Responsibilities as the Interim Nurse Director of Surgical Services with this “Top 100 Best Hospitals for Joint Replacement Awarded” facility consist of the facilitation of corrective action, patient assessment, resolution of family/visitor issues as well as maintenance of open communication with other department leaders. Prior leadership experience in Peri-operative services, a hands-on leadership style, and Oregon State Registered Nursing License will make for quick interviews!
