PEC's Civil Engineering team provides a multitude of services including stormwater management analysis, modeling, permitting, and design services including detention/retention ponds, bridge conveyance and scour, water quality, regional conveyance systems, floodplain and floodway, and site drainage for land development. The Project Engineer position is fully supported by the Water Resources team. This is a position that offers personal and professional growth in the engineering field. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently and with others, with a minimum level of supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact and technical writing.
  • Knowledge and high degree of skill in determining project requirements, setting the project scope of work, determining design budgets, and review of contracts.
  • High degree of skill managing multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties, and internal project team members.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget while meeting project goals and contract requirements.
  • High degree of understanding and ability to communicate and coordinate with members of the Team.
  • Heavily involved in development of junior staff.
  • Perform quality control reviews at appropriate milestones.
  • A level of comfort with business development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of B.S. Degree in an appropriate field of study from an accredited college is required.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience is required.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure in the location of practice is strongly preferred.
  • H&H Modeling, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD skills are preferred.
