Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as Throughput, Productivity, Overtime Hours, and Cost. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

The Operations Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations for the NDT, DT, Machining, and Post Forge Inspection departments. Tasks include scheduling, disciplinary action, conflict resolution, purchasing, cost reduction, team meetings, assigning delivery schedules, and reviewing orders. It is the job of the Operations Supervisor to ensure smooth operations throughout the production and distribution life of a given product. Accordingly, duties also include monitoring production rates and contacting vendors.

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for establishing weekly and monthly requirements to support the plant sales forecast, throughput requirements and targeted inventory levels. Ensures goods manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications. Improves a company's production and distribution processes. Responsible for making sure the schedule is followed during production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following: other duties may be required and assigned at any time.

Responsible for increasing manufacturing speed, reduction of lead times, and controlling operating costs through the application of Theory Of Constraints (TOC) and maximization of daily throughput.

Responsible for meeting weekly shipment targets.

Responsible for productivity and scrap in direct manufacturing departments.

Responsible for on time delivery performance to customer requirements.

Implement 5S housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Cost control for all purchased goods and services - machining, testing, Post Forge Inspection.

Coordinate with the production team to develop weekly and monthly production plan.

Measure performance against the master schedule.

Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion dates.

Prioritizes work at OSP vendors to ensure FMI customer commitment dates are met

Updates WIP schedule with expected due date from vendors for process being performed

Other duties as assigned.
