The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Senior Project Lead to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

As a Senior Project Lead in Space Systems Lab (SSL) you will be responsible for the success of planning and executing the completion of environmental tests for the programs we support. As a project lead in SSL, collaboration with our business partners to is key to our success. The project lead must have the vision to work with our internal customers to execute the critical phased testing to meet the program schedules. The project lead will be expected to cover multiple programs and track their readiness through the El Segundo factory focusing on the environmental testing performed in the Space Systems Lab. The large scale testing that we perform includes spacecraft level thermal vacuum testing (SCTV), sine vibration, and acoustics. This role requires the individual to provide the plan to our business partners, track the plan, and execute.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead, develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry
  • Lead studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives
  • Identify risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Develop and establish lead time requirements
  • Facilitate and ensure integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Act as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Coordinate commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Integrated Product Team Lead, Production Manager, and/or Test and Evaluation Leadership


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience executing tests using environmental chambers, shock, vibration, and acceleration/centrifuge
  • Successfully completed an MBA program or are currently enrolled in an MBA program
  • Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience performing in Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead role


Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $115,600 - $156,400
