Job Description: As a Software Engineer 3, you will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. Your role involves contributing to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. You'll review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges, considering variable factors. Additionally, you'll collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering, leveraging a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.


Responsibilities:

• Lead complex technology initiatives.


• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.


• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives. This includes evaluating technical challenges, considering intangibles, and addressing unprecedented factors.


• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology teams, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications (US):

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.


• 5+ years of Database Engineering and Development experience, including ETL development with Ab Initio pipelines and SQL-based pipelines.


• 3+ years of Teradata development (physical and semantic databases).


• 3+ years of Oracle development, including complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures, functions, and triggers.


• 3+ years of Hadoop and HIVE development with knowledge of writing HiveQL queries.


• 3+ years of Apache Spark and Spark SQL development, with familiarity in PySpark and Scala/Java Spark API.


• 3+ years of data modeling, mapping, and analysis experience.


• 3+ years of AutoSys experience for orchestrating jobs.

Desired Qualifications (US):

• Knowledge of test-driven and behavior-driven application development.


• Ability to design, develop, and implement large-scale/complex software applications.


• Familiarity with modern ETL technologies.


• 4+ years of Agile experience.


• Experience with Kafka.


• Knowledge of Microservices.


• 3+ years' experience with SDLC tools and processes, including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Maven, or Gradle.


• 4+ years of experience in developing complex database SQL queries, Stored Procedures, functions, and triggers.


• Working knowledge of Unix and Linux.
