Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and providing support to the accounting department.



Key Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices for accuracy and proper approval.


• Ensure timely payment of invoices and maintain accurate records of transactions.


• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.


• Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.


• Maintain vendor files and communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.


• Assist in month-end closing and prepare reports as needed.


• Enter and maintain accurate data in the accounting system.


• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in written or verbal form.


• Attend department and company meetings as required.


• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Education / Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.

Years and Related-type Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.


• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
