Senior Business Application Specialist - IT at Munster AB in AMESBURY, Massachusetts

Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior Business Application Specialist-IT to join our growing team.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborate with the IT Applications Team of Business Systems Analysts, Developers, and business users to evaluate business reporting requirements and translate them into working Business Objects reporting solutions.


• Administer and troubleshoot Business Objects.


• Responsible for analysis, technical specification creation, and Business Objects/Crystal Reports design and development.


• Perform Business Objects 3.1/4.2 system administration and maintenance.


• Design and develop web base reports, and dashboards utilizing Business Objects 3.1/4.2 and Crystal Reports.


• Evaluate and interpret business requirements and author technical specifications that support the delivery of effective business intelligence and reporting solutions.


• Interpret production database model and data relationships to assist business users in the definition of requested reports.


• Analyze, design and develop business intelligence applications.


• Utilize SQL to ensure data accuracy and adherence to information standards of reports and dashboards.


• Participate as a development team member on projects requiring extensive data analysis and data migration skills.


• Collaborate with Global team to implement the Global BI tool.


• Utilize knowledge of SAP for needed support

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:



MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Finance or related field.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related IT position administering Business Objects 3.1/4.2system; designing and implementing reports, complex universes and ad hoc queries using Business Objects 3.1/4.2; designing complex Crystal Reports; and experience with database schemas and relational databases.
