We're working with a seed-round startup who is applying their computer vision platform to manufacturing companies, which allows plant managers to receive operation issue alerts in real-time. With recent funding, they're looking for a Backend Python Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to apply your backend skills creating Flask-based applications.
Ideally, they'd like someone with strong Python and database work with SQL on AWS servers.
Born out of research at MIT and Harvard, they are headquartered at the Kendall Square Office in Cambridge. This is a hybrid position, with a base salary range of $140k-$165k + equity ($170k-$190k TC).
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- 4+ years of Python development experience
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL)
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization (Docker)
Cherry on top (NOT REQUIRED):
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
- Embed software with camera systems (working knowledge of embedding software with Raspberry Pis a plus)
