This person will be part of the team responsible for budgeting, reviewing critical agreements and tracking key performance metrics for a NYSE listed REIT. This individual will work closely with the Vice President of Finance and other key business stakeholders.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare the annual budget: work across departments to update and upload budget files • Research and analyze department budgets and actual vs. budget variances • Prepare monthly operations reports on various aspects of the company • Create financial models in excel to analyze leases, loans, agreements and contracts • Review real estate documents (lease agreements, 3rd party contracts, abstracts) • Assist in all other Finance responsibilities and other special projects
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting • Demonstrates ability and motivation to learn quickly • Strong working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of MRI a plus • Strong analytical skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product • Ability to establish and effectively manage relationships with company stakeholders • Self-motivated enthusiastic individual who works well in a team environment under tight deadlines • Strong organization and time management skills to permit managing multiple projects at once
