Duration: 9 Months Contract on W2 (Possible Extension)
Must-Have Skills:
1. Organic Materials - have worked on small molecules, polymer (not a synthetic chemist), Should be more on the process side, processing raw material into a finished product
The main function of a process engineer is to drive the development of new processes and materials for display and optics and contribute to the core expertise of a world-class engineering team. Framing process and materials research problems, planning projects, and lead the execution. development of state-of-the-art processes and prototypes will require the intersection of novel materials, and mechanical, electrical, and software fields.
Job Responsibilities: • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, process, and materials engineers to manage the development and documentation of innovative small organic molecule-based fabrication processes • Design and execute life-cycle approach validation efforts to validate existing processes for the production of quality and conforming parts • Lead the production of parts using developed processes on a schedule with tight timelines, with a focus on design for manufacturability • Specify and operate analytical equipment used in process development • Identify and solve blocking issues for designers and engineers, maximizing their efficiency by ensuring they have the manufacturing tools and information they need
Skills: • Ability to track and organize documentation, experiment results, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work-in-progress (WIP) logs • Experience scaling processes from research to pilot-production or mass manufacture, and implementing quality control procedures to resolve processing problems • Ability to design and implement process development plans, design of experiments (DOE), establishing critical process parameters and quality control strategies.
