Basic Job Functions:



The Roll Turner responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the division's safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. The Roll Turner will do this by operating one or more CNC lathes, tracking and documenting roll sets, and maintaining an accurate roll inventory. Additionally, the successful candidate will utilize computer resources to load programs, manage work orders and track completed work. The Roll Turner will also be expected to help in all other areas of the Roll Shop and Rolling Mill as needed. The qualified candidate will be expected to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• CNC Lathe programming, set up, and operation experience


• Experience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.


• Experience using precision measuring equipment

• 2 or more years of previous roll turning experience


• Knowledge of job specific software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCad)


• Industrial Mechanical Experience


• 2 - 4 year Technical Degree


• Rolling Mill Experience
