Role reports to: North America Vice President, Consumer Business Intelligence

Location: Skillman, NJ and in 2025 Summit, NJ.

Travel %: approximately 20% domestic/international travel

Pay: USD $160,000 - $276,000.

What you will do

The CBI Segment Head Business Intelligence NA is responsible for driving consumer and marketplace business strategies through concrete insights and data across our Skin Health & Beauty, Self Care, Essential Health segments. This position serves as the strategic business partner to Consumer and Marketing organizations, and is expected to bring thought leadership to the teams through the voice of the consumer and marketplace. They will be looked upon to identify challenges and opportunities, shape the appropriate business questions to address and design the most effective ways to answer. Furthermore, the role supports the larger Kenvue aspirations for growth, and will be expected to contribute, lead and identify initiatives that increase our competitiveness. The focus of this role will be driving insights against health care practitioners and consumer insight work within full segment portfolio.

The Segment Head leans into recommendations that drive business growth and stronger outcomes. This role covers quantitative and qualitative research that feed into the development of deep human insights to support, strategy, strategic plans, Integrated Marketing Communications, Brand Equity, brand positioning and architecture, business model, Innovation and NPD, packaging, and copy strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the translation of consumer foundational work, broad, cross-customer shopper insights and category knowledge into insights to identify and address consumer & customer opportunities.

• Maximizes analytics to understand business drivers and predict business growth. Working in concert with CBI analytics to ensure all deliverables are grounded in business capabilities/realities.

• Drive learnings into action across the organization.

• Ensures insights are woven throughout brand strategy, creative development, experience activation and innovation initiatives.

• Uses knowledge of key macro trends and leads understanding of consumer, market and competitive landscape to diagnose business performance and address focused business issues; applies understanding of brand/marketing fundamentals in marketing plan and category/brand strategies development.

• Is an authority on consumer, shopper and healthcare practitioner research (general practice, pediatrics and general dentistry)- developing research strategies to deliver against critical business objectives.

• Is an authority on muti-disciplinary insight development: develop, shape and deliver research audits, integrated learning plans that identify knowledge gaps and address key business issues within consumer and HCP research. Identifies new methods including AI to enhance and accelerate insight development.

• Leads insight generation to feed into communication development, activation, media planning support and campaign monitoring including both consumer and professional.

• Acts as a business partner, not just a market research specialist. Manages complex business issues and helps team set strategic direction. Creates consensus.

What we are looking for

The CBI Segment Head Business Intelligence NA is responsible for a team in North America Consumer and HCP work supporting our Skin Health & Beauty, Self Care, Essential Health family of brands and is expected to be a mentor in multi-disciplinary technical research questions (qualitative, quantitative and advanced analytics), a strong collaborator within and outside the function and have a bias for action, driving strategic outcomes through influence, collaboration & organizational savviness.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree in relevant field preferred.

• 15 years of total experience in progressive roles focused on market research, advanced analytics, consulting, and/or related fields. Consumer Goods experience is preferred.

• Minimum of 8 years of people management experience required

• Leadership experience across Sales, Trade Marketing, Category Management and/or Sales Operations.

• Experience with financial business models and budgets; P&L management.

• Proven track record of developing high-performing, multi-functional teams required

• Proven experience effectively managing globally-dispersed, cross-functional team and coordinating effort across commercial, technical, and capability-focused functions.

• Demonstrates significant expertise leveraging appropriate analytics techniques, research methods, data sources, and technologes that best inform and shape category strategy, communication development, innovation, execution, and brand growth opportunities.

• Can think analytically to identify and understand complex/ambiguous problems and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly.

• Exhibits strong project management skills with proven ability to drive multiple high-profile projects to successful completion and on time.

• Ability to identify & synthesize meaningful insights into a compelling narrative for business or financial impact to influence others, gain stakeholder buy-in, and initiate action.

• Proactively identifies and experiments w/ new ways of working as we optimize Kenvue's operating model and key business capabilities.

• Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $160,000 to $276,000.This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
