How you will make contributions that matter...

• Must be able to successfully pass the Ramsay C level test (minimum).


• Must be able to pass the WorkKeys test per the CBA.


• Hands on demonstration of competency may be required.


• Must be able to lift 60 lbs.


• Correctly diagnose and repair plant equipment; maintenance of plant equipment.


• Comply with plant PPE's and GMP's.


• Able to learn Maintenance Connection, and basic Microsoft applications. (ex. Word, Excel).


• Must be able to work overtime as needed.


• Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality.


• Responsible for daily production, utility, ammonia, and boiler rounds.


• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.


• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.


• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.


• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.


• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.


• Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.


• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.


• Troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment, to include but not limited to: hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, VFD/HMI/Servo control devices, conveying systems, industrial printers, valves, photo eyes, switches, heat exchangers, level controls.


• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.


• Must be able to read and write English fluently.


• Any other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you...

• Industrial ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler and utility experience.


• 1-2 year(s) prior industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment required.


• Ability to utilize computer-based maintenance planning/PM ERP platforms, SAP a plus.


• Ability to trouble-shoot electrical, hydraulic systems and pneumatic equipment.


• Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills. Experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics a plus.


• Self-motivated detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


• Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as necessary

The work environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.


• Environment is occasionally damp and cold. Acid and chlorine chemicals will be used and may emit fumes into the air.


• Floors may be wet and slippery.


• Room temperatures will range from 35 degrees F. to an excess of 130 degrees F.


• The use of safety glasses, ear plugs, rubber gloves, rubber boots, are all necessary in this area. This list includes but is not limited to the mentioned items.
