Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Specialist in the Greenfield Substance Use Recovery programs at Behavioral Health Network!
Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is partnering with Greenfield Community College (GCC) and MassHire Franklin Hampshire to train individuals as Recovery Specialists. This program offers a structured series of trainings through GCC along with on-site training at a BHN site for 30 hours/week for a 6-week period of time, concluding by obtaining full-time employment as a Recovery Specialist at BHN.
Program attendees are paid for their time for completing both classes and on-the-job training, which would take approximately 18 hours of the 30 hour/wk training schedule. Trainings are to be completed fully in-person both on-site and at GCC's Greenfield, MA campus and attendance is required for 100% of the trainings for successful completion. There will be no cost to you for any of the training programs or certifications obtained during this program.
The program is set to begin on September 16, 2024.
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Greenfield programs with the following:
Providing direct care services and supervision to client populations.
Measuring & documenting vital signs & Signs of Life accurately.
Transporting individuals served to appointments, aftercare, etc.
Performing & documenting intakes, admissions, and discharges in a timely and accurate manner.
Providing crisis intervention and emergency services, as needed.
Organizing & facilitating individuals' participation in care activities & unit programs.
Completing program specific forms, documentation, and progress notes in the Electronic Health Record in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintains strict confidentiality of individual always served information in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2.
Who are we?
BHN's Greenfield, MA campus includes designated substance abuse disorder treatment centers, which provide acute treatment services (ATS) and clinical stabilization services (CSS) as well as additional services to support recovery. These varied residential rehabilitation services help adults working to overcome drug and alcohol addiction and meet co-occurring mental health and behavioral health needs.

What are we looking for in a Recovery Specialist?
Commitment to providing high quality community-based care to all individuals (required).
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
Demonstrates competency in simple mathematics, reading comprehension, instructions, simple use of charts, reports, and records.
Strong detail orientation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid Driver's License (required).
Vehicle for use during all working hours should be registered and inspected in accordance with 540 CMR 4.00 (required).
