Commercial Solutions Supervisor at Nucor Corporation in Grapeland, Texas

Job Description:

Basic Job Functions:

• Lead team of Sales Engineers, and Business Development Representatives.


• Establish and develop strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and other potential partners.


• Lead VVG business development initiatives - i.e. sustainability, new products, regional accounts, etc.


• Proactively identify and drive opportunities for Vulcraft and Nucor to provide market-based solutions.


• Lead major project strategy with strong collaboration across the division, group, and enterprise.


• Assist Sales Manager in leading all commercial aspects of the business and back up as needed.


• Coach and develop direct report sales teammates.

The Commercial Solutions Supervisor candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently. Candidates must be willing to relocate within three years for future advancement opportunities within Nucor.



Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering


• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)


• Minimum two years experience in a supervisory role

Preferred Qualifications:



Civil Engineering degree with an emphasis in structural engineering


Experience developing new business strategies


Experience as a structural engineering specifying professional


Experience in a sales or commercial role


SAP experience
