Provide care in hospital setting to equine patients to include emergency/critical care, treatment plans, jogging, and lunging horses for exams, preparing patients for sterile procedures, managing inventory, anesthesia, and assisting in surgery. This position is a 40-hour/week position, our technicians share the responsibilities of the emergency on-call schedule. The position includes cross-training in all services. Qualifications: We are looking for a certified veterinary technician, or applicants with specialized husbandry skills in lieu of education. Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively required. Must be able to work in a high-paced environment. Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written. Horse-handling skills are required. Must be able to work well with others. Computer skills required.
