BOOST LLC is a dynamic management consulting firm that offers an array of government-compliant back-office solutions to support our teaming partners within the GovCon space. BOOST is helping our client, IVA'AL Solutions LLC find their next Payroll Specialist.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have Government Contract experience. They will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, validating payroll data, and running necessary reports for reconciliation. The Payroll Specialist will use payroll software such as Paylocity and Unanet to manage timecard corrections and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process and manage semi-monthly payrolls using Paylocity and Unanet. Candidate will be responsible for four (4) payroll runs per month. Balances and prepares payments for garnishments, tax levies and child support payments.

Payroll Validation: Validate payroll data to ensure accuracy, including employee hours, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.

Reconciliation: Run and analyze reports to reconcile payroll data and ensure it aligns with financial records.

Timecard Management: Review, correct, and maintain employee timecards and resolve discrepancies. Contact employees if timecards are not submitted or are incorrect.

Compliance: Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Knowledge of payroll taxes including late notices. Familiar with multi-state regulations.

Reporting: Generate, review, and distribute payroll reports to internal departments and external agencies as required. Knowledge of state registrations. Completes unemployment and wage verification reports as needed. Process W-2s and 1099's.

Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records in accordance with company policies. Maintains changes in payroll records.

Customer Service: Provide support and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and other related matters. Works closely with the Human Resources Department.

Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the payroll process.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Experience can be substituted for Education.
Experience: 5 years of experience in government contracting payroll processing; experience with Paylocity and Unanet is highly preferred.
