Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary:

All openpositions are Hybrid & On-site, and employees are expected to be on-site as per their approved schedule.

TheCoordinator of Supplemental Instruction (SI) serves as a member in the AcademicAchievement Center to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Supplemental Instructionprogram and primarily work with students supported by the SUCCESS Initiative.Under the general supervision of the Director of the AAC, the Coordinator isresponsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of the programdesigned to improve grades and retain students. The Coordinator will beresponsible for session scheduling, reporting, assisting with hiring, training,supervising and leader observations. This position is based in Wellesley, butmay need to travel to Framingham, Ashland, and Remote.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, training and supervision of student SI Leaders;
  • Assist in the development, implementation, administration and marketing of SI;
  • Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, staff and other departments and/or external constituencies on a day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administratively;
  • Monitor and approve SI Leader time and attendance;
  • Create and oversee SI Leader schedules;
  • Make and confirm arrangements for study group sessions;
  • Supervise the daily tasks, functioning and performance of SI Leaders;
  • Coordinate with the Director of the Academic Achievement Center to develop and facilitate trainings for SI Leaders;
  • Coordinate with faculty regarding support;
  • Consult with SUCCESS Team members to identify SUCCESS student cohort needs and engage regularly with student caseload to build rapport and trust;
  • Work closely with the SUCCESS Initiative including collaboration with SUCCESS advisor/coaches as well as other members of the initiative and attend regular SUCCESS meetings;
  • Complete and submit all SI-related assignments and paperwork in a timely manner;
  • Track student progress and contributes to the Success Grant compliance reporting;
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education,Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science,or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years experienceand/or training involving area of assignment, which may include collegeregistration, academic advisement, career development, career experience,training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grantadministration, budget development, program/project management, event planning,administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computeroperations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $32.64 per hour

Position Type: MCCC-Professional Grade 4
