Job Summary: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is in need of a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to assist our Protein and Cell Analysis Business Unit in the Biosciences Division. This position includes overseeing expenses, collaborating with Marketing and R&D teams, and delivering Business Unit-level reports. The ideal candidate will be analytical, a collaborative partner, and possess a keen foresight in financial matters to drive business decision-making and prioritization.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Manage and monitor the Business Unit's spend, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and R&D Organizations to offer financial insights and support for central initiatives.

  • Prepare and analyze Business Unit-level reports, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and improve data accuracy.

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business planning and forecasting activities.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.


Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with the capacity to effectively work with teams from different departments.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with BI tools.

  • Keen eye for detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00-$154,700.00.


This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
