We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to supervise the assembly and test operations on 2nd Shift . Within a broad scope of responsibility, this position maintains production schedules and quality of work. Reviews work orders, production specifications, technical instructions and facility requirements, tool requisition, equipment, and supplies for areas of responsibility. Responsible for planning, assigning duties, hiring training and conducting employee performance reviews, and assuring adherence to all Company policies.

What you will do in the position:

  • Assist and support the Manager/Director in various assigned tasks/projects.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and applicable laws are updated reflecting current operations and processes.
  • Ensure that all staff are properly trained in the assigned products, processes, and safety methods.
  • Monitor work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
  • Lead production meetings and participate in other meetings/committees as required.
  • Gather information, analyze pertinent data to identify positive and negative trends for production improvement, and initiate actions.
  • Plan and direct all assembly and test activities in order to meet quality and delivery performance goals.
  • Monitor the flow of work. Identifies operations problems (i.e. tooling, manpower, documents) and potential personnel and/or production problems, act upon them, and report them to management.
  • Train unit personnel on methods and procedures used in Production.
  • Conduct performance review and make salary recommendations.
  • Coordinate and resolve conflicts with other departments/areas as well as within the department.
  • Follow and implement Lean principles and maintain good housekeeping and safety standards.

What you will need to succeed in this position:

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, parts, and components
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and use hand tools.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, quality, and labor standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills, problem solving skills, and planning skills.
  • Ability to complete assignments with limited supervision.
  • Excellent production work habits and organizational skills.
  • Very good communication skills; effective verbal, reading, and writing skills to understand complex instructions and lead team personnel.
  • Proficient in principles of Lean manufacturing.

Pay Range: $66,500.00 - $79,600.00 per annum. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. At HME you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while developing our future products. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
