OVERVIEWWe are looking for a friendly and professional Overnight Guest Services Host to be a comforting presence in the hotel overnight. As a Guest Services Host, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, answering phone calls, and managing guest inquiries and reservations. Your exceptional communication and customer service skills will ensure a positive first impression and smooth operations at our front desk.REPORTS TOHotel ManagerSALARY + HOURS EXPECTATIONS$18.50-21.00/ HOUR30-40 hours weeklyWeekday and weekend availability required Overnight availability requiredRESPONSIBILITIESGreet and check-in arriving hotel guests.Set-up and breakdown of any perishable items.Clean and maintain public areas, such as the lobby, hallways, and restrooms.Assist guests with special requests in a courteous and helpful manner.Maintain ambience throughout the evening (lighting/music/etc)Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the hotel general manager.Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed.Be available for any guest needs or property related issues that arise. REQUIREMENTSStrong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with guests in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner. Ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns with empathy and discretion while maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude.Attention to detail.Ability to work independently and efficiently.General computer skills. (Previous PMS knowledge preferred, but not required)Ability to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, and lifting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCarry out all tasks with an attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining an enjoyable and clean environment for guests and team.Ability to multitask. Work efficiently and maintain a reasonable pace of service at all times.Fill in for absent staff as needed, assist with special events as needed.Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.Ability to honor your schedule, show up on time and clock in and out, put in requests for time off with appropriate notice.Must be able to follow written and verbal communication skills as well as nonverbal communications in a fast paced environment. Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, and lifting for up to 75% of your scheduled shift.Ability to stand for 100% of your scheduled shift.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, maneuver in narrow hallways, up and down small stairways and behind the bar. WORK ENVIRONMENTPhysically strenuous, standing, lifting, kneeling, stooping, walking and stair climbing throughout the entire shift. Loud environment with low lighting in some areas and bright lights in others.
