Description:



We are seeking a highly organized and independent Project Support Specialist to join our Construction & Projects Management (C&PM) team. This role involves managing and maintaining the department's SharePoint site, collaborating with project managers to track and monitor project files, and ensuring that Teams and SharePoint are up to date. The ideal candidate will perform advanced SharePoint and administrative duties with minimal supervision, requiring a high degree of technical and organizational ability.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Work independently with minimal supervision on moderate to complex tasks.

  • Organize and maintain the department SharePoint site.

  • Collaborate with project managers to track and monitor project files.

  • Ensure Teams and SharePoint are up to date and accessible.

  • Perform advanced SharePoint and administrative duties for C&PM.

  • Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

  • Analyze conflicting demands and make recommendations to management.

  • Maintain knowledge of various capital and O&M projects.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with all levels of management and employees.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PMP Certification (desired but not required).

  • Construction Management Certification (desired but not required).


Principal Accountabilities:



  • Assist Project Managers with the development and maintenance of project SharePoint sites.

  • Communicate with site users to identify needs and provide access.

  • Upload, publish, and archive documents on SharePoint.

  • Maintain and organize project documents and statuses.

  • Provide user training to project staff.

  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications.

  • Support project closeout procedures, including document management.

  • Assist with onboarding new department and contract employees.

  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, including Excel, Office, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Incorporate processes and procedures for project startup and closeout phases.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Support the biennial refueling outage as designated.


Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in applied management, business, or project management with 2+ years of advanced administrative or technical experience, OR

  • Associate degree in a management, technical, or science-related field with 4+ years of advanced administrative or technical experience, OR

  • High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of advanced administrative or technical experience.


Desired Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Applied Management, Business, or Project Management.

  • Experience in the commercial nuclear power plant industry.


Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Effective communication skills at all levels within the organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in standard software and information systems, including Teams, SharePoint, and Asset Suite.

  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to perform moderately complex tasks with minimal guidance.

  • Constructive approach to work activities and interactions.

  • Demonstrate core values of safety, integrity, excellence, and accountability.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and OneNote.

  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn new software quickly.

  • Team and customer service orientation.

  • Strong work ethics, planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.


Desired Skills and Abilities:



  • Knowledge in Nuclear Continuous Improvement Coordination and project management.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Familiarity with company software and programs.

  • Previous administrative experience at a commercial nuclear site.

  • At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Word for advanced document editing.
