We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Applications Engineer/Project Manager 3 to lead our development process in Braselton, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting the release of new products. You will interface with cross-functional teams, directly interact with customers to analyze the market opportunity, and create and accomplish set objectives. As the project leader of the team, you will be responsible not only for customer satisfaction and financial performance but also training peers and staff.
What You'll Bring
A qualified candidate for this role will bring strong leadership skills, backed by 5+ years of experience within the automotive product development environment. With a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, combined with Project Management expertise and hands-on design experience, you will be well-equipped to lead your team and foster innovation. Additionally, strong knowledge of Creo/3D Modeling or similar CAD software and strong time management skills will be crucial to your success in this position.
What's Expected
As an Applications Engineer/Project Manager 3 you will be responsible to carry out the following responsibilities:
Manage design and application work for 5-10 OEM Automotive projects concurrently, including complex technology developments and difficult customer interactions.
Consistent interaction with OEM customers; however, critical communication and/or negotiations are reviewed with the management team before release.
Supports and oversees build milestones and safe launch period to evaluate production readiness and component accuracy.
Creates and maintains 3d models, 2d drawings, BOM's and ECN documentation.
