We are seeking a Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to support the research and development of flight control algorithms for our clients Spacecraft. The focus will be on enhancing their high-fidelity modeling and simulation architecture. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and engaging environment, contributing to cutting-edge avionics, guidance, navigation, and control systems for both uncrewed and human-rated spacecraft.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and expand high-fidelity GNC simulation architecture.
Develop and validate additional models for GNC simulations, including hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Design, implement, and validate GNC flight software.
Develop control laws to meet vehicle performance and stability margin requirements.
Support flight activities and analyze flight performance data.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
3+ years of experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 1+ years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline.
Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in Python programming.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in orbital mechanics and attitude dynamics and control.
Proficiency in using linear control principles and tools for designing feedback control systems.
Experience analyzing non-linear simulations of closed-loop dynamics.
Working knowledge of outer loop control law performance requirements.
Experience with MATLAB for data creation, processing, analysis, and visualization.
Experience with Simulink for modeling dynamic systems.
