About this role:

The Risk Services Programs team within the Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant to serve as team lead for the WIM New Business Initiatives (NBI) and WIM Volcker Rule Programs. In this highly visible and dynamic role, this leader will navigate complex deliverables with leaders across WIM to drive optimized solutions.

As the team lead for WIM NBI, this leader will:
  • Ensure WIM product launches, changes, and associated annual reviews are risk-assessed in alignment with policy expectations, WIM risk appetite, and WIM strategic initiatives to drive value-add product offerings.
  • Drive ongoing engagement with key stakeholders (IRM, Legal, Control, Business Leaders) to promote program enhancements for further efficiencies and predictability in the robust assessment process.
  • Publish, monitor, and act on key program metrics to ensure WIM leadership awareness of upcoming product initiatives, identified areas of escalation, and associated program opportunities.
  • Manage the monthly NBI Sub-Committee (NBISC) agenda in partnership with the NBISC Co-Chairs and Program Director.
  • Conduct final reviews of the weekly QCs of key NBI artifacts to ensure risk, control and product stakeholders receive accurate and complete information regarding the risk/reward overlay of WIM products.
  • Coordinate pipeline of annual policy-mandated product reviews for all WIM products.
  • Monitor required pre & post-launch conditions to ensure product teams adhere to NBISC directives, ensuring regulatory, customer impact, and financial impact risks are appropriately managed.
  • Serve as initial point of escalation for product initiative assessments that arise through the Deal Team review approach, including items raised during Working Group, Pre-Meeting, and NBISC.
  • Ensure all associated NBI controls are designed, documented, and performed in alignment with Program & RCSA expectations.
  • Be accountable for all WIM NBI-owned corrective actions, including the mitigation of control gaps and documentation of associated control artifacts.
As the team lead for WIM Volcker Rule, this leader will:
  • Serve as the primary WIM point of contact for WIM front-line Volcker Rule Compliance.
  • Drive program maturity, including the build-out of optimized program/process routines.
  • Centrally coordinate internal and external reviews of WIM LOB Volcker-related activities for data collection, control/procedure walk-throughs, and Q&A responses.
  • Perform recurring monitoring routines to measure WIM Volcker-Rule adherence regarding the reporting of covered funds to regulators and the identification of ownership interests exceeding regulatory-prescribed thresholds.
  • Drive the annual WIM CEO Sub-attestation Process for Volcker Rule adherence to satisfy policy and regulatory requirements for WIM Volcker applicability and associated controls, issues, and program enhancements.
  • Maintain a WIM-wide Volcker Rule Procedure to aid the consistent execution of the Wells Fargo Volcker Rule Policy and Volcker Rule Procedure.
  • Promote strong knowledge base of Volcker Rule requirements and associated applicability within WIM; Partner with second-line partners to ensure all in-scope routines are migrated to the front-line to support Wells Fargo's Risk Management Framework.
  • Ensure all associated WIM Volcker Rule controls are designed, documented, and performed in alignment with Program & RCSA expectations.
  • Be accountable for all WIM Volcker Rule-owned corrective actions, including the mitigation of control gaps and documentation of associated control artifacts.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced communication skills (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Expert leadership skills with demonstrated success collaborating with a broad spectrum of stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Risk and/or Control Management experience
  • Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) Program experience
  • Experience leading risk and compliance-based programs in a large complex organization
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry; Preferably WIM products, services, and regulatory environment
  • Experience driving & building risk/control programs from infancy to maturity
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous policy requirements to develop a clear business-specific strategy that accounts for LOB nuances in a value-add capacity
  • Strong ability to identify risks and assess aligned control environments
  • Ability to identify and escalate concerns via fact-based credible challenge
  • Experience leading risk-based assessments in alignment with policy expectations, risk appetite, and strategic initiatives
  • Volcker Rule policy and procedure compliance experience

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $250,000.00
