Apex Systems is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our client and their technical team in Albuquerque, NM. This is a 6 month contract-to-hire role. It will be working extensively on DoD/government projects, so the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is necessary.
You'll Be Doing This:
Prepare mechanical and electrical engineering 2D&3D drawings of components, assemblies, and process engineering change orders from given data such as previous drawings, layouts, detailed sketches, notes, verbal instructions and standard references.
Researches data required to complete accurately the engineering data depicted on an engineering drawing including previous drawings, project notes, sketches and field checks.
Improves the drawing process by using the provided CADD software and hardware to develop software routines that automate tasks.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
AS in computer drafting (or related) and 4+ years equivalent drafting experience
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
5+ yrs demonstrated CAD support for engineering design teams, 2yrs CAD modeling experience using AUTOCAD Inventor
