Project Manager

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager is responsible for keeping the project team informed and managing all aspects of outdoor lighting projects for airports. They will maintain files, set goals, manage subcontractor agreements, oversee project documentation, and handle insurance, payments, and payrolls related to the project. This position involves bidding, estimating, and project management with a focus on Electrical Construction for airport outdoor lighting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Lead and participate in project team meetings, including project close-outs.
  • Manage preconstruction processes and folders.
  • Oversee project schedules and ensure timelines are met.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to maintain project schedules.
  • Validate, match, and code invoices; ensure accuracy and distribute for approval.
  • Establish Subcontractor Agreements and Payment Requisitions.
  • Collaborate closely with team members on project submittals.
  • Ensure subcontractor insurance and service provider agreements are maintained.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, including Superintendent books.
  • Utilize software such as Heavy Job, HCSS, and VISTA Viewpoint for project management tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to project teams.
  • Update plans and document project progress through photos.
  • Obtain and analyze shop drawing information from Subcontractors and Suppliers.
  • Perform project take-offs and procure materials from vendors.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Applicants should have a strong understanding of project management within a construction office. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, along with 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry. Experience with airport electrical projects is highly desired.
