Job Overview: The Producer will play a key supporting role in a small, tight-knit team working in the fast-paced world of independent audiobook publishing, with an emphasis on project management as it pertains to audiobook production.
This person will report to the V.P. of Production Operations but will interact closely with other departments to move projects forward.
Ideally looking for someone who is experienced in audiobook production, who can grow with the company and who can handle a growing workload as the company continues to scale.
Responsibilities: • Managing audiobook production through all stages of pre/post-production • Resolving textual and editorial concerns directly with authors/production team • Scheduling production with contractors, production studios and narrators • Coordinating with a small team via Slack, email, and Zoom to provide narrators and contractors with production materials • Data entry across multiple platforms (Airtable, Trello, Excel, Box)
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent • Five year's publishing experience • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent attention to detail • Knowledge of ACX/Audible ecosystem • Comfortable working with communication and project management tools such as Slack, Airtable, Box, and Google Docs
This person must be an eager learner with high attention to detail and strong communication skills. Must be able to follow instructions/specs and be able to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team. Should feel confident asking questions when confused, contributing new ideas and thoughts re: workflow, and taking initiative to identify and solve problems.
This is a full-time position reporting to the company headquarters in El Segundo.
