Job Type: Full-Time, Regular

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year based on experience

**Remote work is permitted, with ideal candidates being located in Nevada, Oregon, or California**

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a senior-level Cultural Project Manager to serve as an advisor/manager for utility, water, solar, and telecom development projects. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to attract and retain clients as well as develop and implement strategies that will positively impact the growth of the company's services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
  • Independently manage complex projects
  • Tracking and managing project deliverables
  • Lead a team of cultural staff
  • Documenting compliance/noncompliance with cultural resource protection measures
  • Interacting and coordinating with various clientele, federal, state, local, and tribal agencies
  • Conduct background research and data collection on cultural/archaeological topics for Section 106 reports.
  • Review summaries of environmental background studies prepared by technical experts, such as geology and soils.
  • Attending and leading project meetings
  • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright's and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • M.A or M.S. in archaeology or another relevant field; B.A. or B.S. degree with professional experience comparable to a master's level of education may be considered
  • Preferred 6+ years professional experience in environmental industry working as a primary Project Manager on archaeological projects or other similar large programs. Applicants with fewer years of experience may be considered for other related roles.
  • Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines, as well as working in a team setting
  • Ability to interact and coordinate with various clientele, federal, state, local, and tribal agencies
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with construction and utility compliance inspection projects
  • Familiarity with typical transmission or electrical utility operations and maintenance activities
  • Familiarity with ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.)
  • Participate in and lead business development tasks, such as writing proposal tasks, championing proposals, and collaborating with the wider management to build the cultural program
  • Permitted or permittable on BLM lands (Field Director or Principal Investigator)
  • Previous NHPA, NEPA, FERC, and/or other cultural or environmental trainings
  • Ability to evaluate resources for NRHP-eligibility
  • Authored multiple archaeological site forms and inventory reports
  • Authored a master's degree thesis
  • Prior experience supporting state and federal agencies
  • Conduct Class III (intensive pedestrian) cultural resources inventory
