Morilee VP of Finance Role & Responsibilities | OnSite Role Based in Boca Raton
The Vice President of Finance is a senior executive who oversees and directs Morilee's finances, prepares projections, and protects the company from financial risk. The VP has strong numerical and analytical skills working closely with other top executives to accomplish optimal outcomes. Professional certifications, such as Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, or Certified Management Accountant are required in this senior role, as is extensive, related work experience. The role requires strong skills in fiscal management and processes, financial benchmarking, and tax compliance and laws. Strong, proven track record and experience in accounting, auditing, and financial models is essential.
Skills Needed for the Role
1. Financial Analysis
Financial analysis skills to create, manage, and oversee various financial documents, such as balance sheets and income statements. Liaison and collaborate with financial operations and production reporting. The ability to forecast and strategize financials plans and projections management is required with a bias for action and an orientation towards problem-solving.
2. IT
Lead and implement new I.T. / accounting system such as Netsuite
3. Analytical Skills
Strong analytical skills to assess numerous financial aspects of the company are necessary to oversee transactions and processes and identify any errors or discrepancies that affect the organization. The role requires the assessment of large amounts of data and various documents.
4. Knowledge of Treasury
Treasury skills with tasks related to monitoring cash flow and overseeing international trade. You can also use these skills when preparing tax returns, assessing cash flow procedures to ensure there is enough money for operational expenditures, and overseeing company transactions. Treasury skills are required.
5. HR Operations
Administrative HR Operations skills are required for this role to run payroll and benefits, to identify any discrepancies and conduct audits to ensure effective processes and accurate reporting. The ability to set up and run payroll within a PEO or other system are required. No employee relations or culture expectations.
6. Risk Management
Risk management skills are vital for this role. The VP of Finance is responsible for assessing the company's finances and determining areas of risk to its assets and money. Creating risk management strategies and techniques is important for business security and requires strong risk management skills.
VP of Finance will work closely with employees to advise them on how to conduct internal controls and comply with financial regulations.

Responsibilities of the Role • Collaborating with the CEO and CFO on all financial activities • Collaborating with the Executive Management Team • Establishing financial operations and guidelines for each company department • Identifying inefficiencies in company systems and advising on overcoming them to use resources more efficiently • Creating methods and processes for tracking expenses • Overseeing company compliance with various regulations and legislation • Managing employees in the A/P and A/R departments • Hiring and training accountants • Automating reporting systems for the accounting and finance departments • Ensuring the company adheres to tax laws and industry regulations • Ensuring data accuracy in company reports • Creating, implementing, and leading company budgeting processes with Private Equity Firm & CEO • Produce monthly and quarterly Financials along with bank certifications • Creating weekly & monthly reports of company finances • Advising the CEO on financial planning • Oversee annual audit • Manage the treasury function by working with both investors and banks. Proactively provide detailed information regarding cash flow scenarios • Making financial forecasts • Overseeing insurance coverage for the company • Monitoring all financial transactions • Overseeing the company's progress toward its revenue goals and advising as necessary • Managing all payroll and tax activities
VP of Finance of Morilee Requirements
Candidates are required to hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field. Minimum 15 years' experience in a Financial VP role. Knowledge and understanding of Private Equity ownership is required.
