Epoca International is a designer and distributor of consumer houseware products. Epoca is focused on building strong consumer brands and driving innovation within the marketplace. Our portfolio includes Paris Hilton housewares, Ecolution Cookware, Primula Beverage Products, Tasty home goods, and Cooking Light kitchen products, as well as a variety of private label retailer offerings.

The Associate Merchandising Manager will support the merchandising team by curating, developing, and managing a range of home décor products, ensuring they align with branding requirements, current trends, market demand, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. This role requires a self-starter with an eye for design, a hands-on approach, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days each week in our Boca Raton office with the occasional need for additional office days if necessary for business purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of merchandising strategies for home décor categories.
  • Collaborate with the design team to curate and select new products that meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to ensure product offerings remain relevant and innovative.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, including packaging, compliance, and sourcing to manage production timelines, costs, and quality control.
  • Provide clear and accurate communication on sample revision comments to the sourcing team throughout sample development process.
  • Actively follow up on product quotes and sample development from concept through production, ensuring deadlines are met and finalized products are executed to the design specifications.
  • Collaborate with Sales team on product cost analysis of benchmark items to align on target costs and margin requirements
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of product specifications, costs, and vendor agreements.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports on merchandising performance for senior management.
  • Stay updated on emerging home décor trends and provide insights for product development.

Education, Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Design, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in home décor or a related industry.
  • Strong design aesthetic and knowledge of current trends in home décor.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and costs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and other merchandising tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with product development in the home décor industry.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and inventory planning is a plus.
