Overall responsibility for directing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, pricing, and cost report activities. Reports directly to the VP Revenue Mgmt & Reimbursement. Interacts with Senior Managers, Administrators, Physicians, Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC), Maryland Hospital Association (MHA), and Auditors.
Qualifications:
BS/BA required in business accounting, health care management or finance is required. Post graduate degree strongly preferred.
7-10+ years of progressively responsible related experience in healthcare reimbursement regulations, cost accounting and operations including 3-5 years of management experience.
Requires extensive knowledge of HSCRC and Medicare regulations, health care planning, budgeting, pricing and hospital organization.
Requires a professional level of knowledge in finance or accounting including regulatory compliance issues and a comprehensive understanding of all budget and price change planning procedures as well as a high level of proficiency in financial accounting as would normally be acquired from progressively responsible related experience.
Requires high degree of knowledge of regulatory and cost accounting principles, revenue budgeting, and annual operating plan development as would be obtained from progressively responsible experience.
Requires experience in developing and presenting financial information to executive level audiences, and coordination of staff in providing support services to clients in decentralized or consulting environments.
