Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Negotiation & Vendor Relations: Lead the negotiation process with strong acumen, identifying opportunities to consolidate spends, and deciding when to go through distribution or direct sourcing.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring the highest quality and cost-efficiency for materials.
Material Management: Oversee material management and inventory systems, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time.
Procurement Expertise: Procure a wide range of materials including various woods, sheet goods, paints, stains, and finishes.
Tech-Savvy Operations: Utilize ERP systems to streamline purchasing, inventory control, and vendor performance.
Industry Experience: Leverage 5-10 years of purchasing experience in cabinetry, millwork, or furniture to ensure the highest standards in procurement operations.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience: 5-10 years of proven procurement success in cabinetry, millwork, or furniture manufacturing.
Vendor Knowledge: A deep understanding of vendor management, with experience on either the purchasing or vendor side of the business.
Industry-Specific Knowledge: Strong knowledge of various woods, sheet goods, stains, paints, and related materials.
Tech Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and other procurement software tools.
Leadership Skills: A natural relationship-builder who can influence outcomes and foster long-term partnerships.
