Looking for candidates that have legal billing experience, specifically we use Legal Tracker, but any legal billing software experience would be beneficial.
Legal Administrative Assistant
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports and evidence which is necessary to respond to discovery and other inquiries.
Provide pro-active support to track actions, deadlines and manage documents.
Handle incoming mail and outgoing correspondence via ordinary mail, facsimile, e-mail, and/or overnight courier service and certified mail via web-based programs.
Prepare check requisitions in accordance with proper accounting procedures, and appropriate approvals.
Review electronic invoices from law firms for billing guidelines conformity and maintain necessary records to ensure compliance with auditing requirements.
Respond to inquiries from law firms/vendors on the status of an invoice payment.
Prepare reports, presentations and organize training sessions as related to the Law Department.
Fulfil other administrative needs and duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma required, associate degree in paralegal studies, business, communications, legal studies, or related discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an administrative assistant or related field in a Law Firm or Corporate Law environment.
