Overview

The Fellowship Program Coordinator is responsible for the operational administration of two fellowship programs. The Fellowship Program Coordinator collaborates with the Program Director in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. The Fellowship Program Coordinator will continually monitor and direct a wide range of programmatic functions, including: developing program policies and procedures; reviewing program operations for compliance; recommending process improvements; and communicating with faculty, fellows, and staff about program policies and procedures.

With direct oversight and direction from the Pediatric Education Manager, this position works closely with the associated Fellowship Program Directors and Associate Program Directors and fellows, as well as with other departmental fellowship coordinators and faculty.

The position requires a thorough knowledge of national and state accreditation policies and hospital/institutional policies, and the ability to interpret and apply those policies to ensure program compliance. The position also requires a high degree of initiative, strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and collaborative skills.



Responsibilities

  • Four years of general office or secretarial experience; OR An Associate’s degree or certificate in office occupations or office echnology AND two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR A Bachelor’s degree AND two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience administering or coordinating parts or subsets of a project or program.
  • Excellent organizational skills with clear attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to succinctly and accurately convey complex information.
  • Solution-oriented, with an ability to develop processes and procedures.
  • Proactive and self-motivated. Ability to work independently with little guidance, as well as determine solutions to problems.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and video-conferencing platforms.


Qualifications



  • Prior work experience in higher education and/or training programs, preferably at an academic medical center.
  • Prior experience working with faculty and trainees.
  • Experience administratively supporting educational programs.
  • Proficient with MedHub, WebEx, and MS Teams.
  • Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education certification (C-TAGME) or similar certification
