As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting, preferably within nonprofit organizations, and experience in grants management and audit processes.

Focus:
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Participate in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Manage and monitor organizational grants, including tracking expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide financial analysis and support for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Mentor junior accounting staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial needs and initiatives.
Skill Set:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a nonprofit organization.
Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Proven experience in managing audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Extensive experience in grants management, including tracking, reporting, and compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
