We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Design to join our team in Glendora, CA.
This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for a mid-level to senior engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and Revit within the commercial construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design electrical systems for MEP projects in commercial construction, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other low-voltage systems.
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to produce and modify detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts.
Coordinate and collaborate with architects, project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines (mechanical, plumbing) to ensure successful project execution.
Perform electrical calculations, including load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
Conduct site visits to oversee installation and ensure compliance with design specifications and codes.
Troubleshoot electrical design issues and provide timely solutions to field teams.
Ensure designs meet industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.
Assist in preparing documentation and reports for project submissions and client presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in electrical design, specifically in MEP design for commercial construction projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
