Job Summary: As the Inventory Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing our inventory levels and ensuring accurate stock management through being detail oriented and analytical. You will work closely with various teams, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance, to forecast demand, monitor stock levels, and analyze data to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: including the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Forecast demand to ensure adequate stock for upcoming periods.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to manage inventory replenishment.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory processes and data integrity.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to inventory management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory control procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
  • Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
  • Provides inventory reports to Inventory Control Manager. Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments.
  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the Purchasing or Inventory Control Manager.
  • Monitors warehouse facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity.
  • Assists with annual physical inventory.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Experience influencing, leading, managing, and supervising others.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, ISO, and other continuous improvement concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive mindset to identify and address issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with internal teams, vendors, stakeholders & community leaders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven, high pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization & employees.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP system.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Successful completion of 60-day probationary period.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Inventory Analyst, Inventory Planner, or in a similar experience in a high-volume metal forming and/or machine building manufacturing preferred.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting. The majority of the time will be spent sitting in front of a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

The employee works in an office setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
