Eric'sons is seeking to hire an Assistant Plant Manager for our Dallas, GA plant. This position is in charge of overseeing plant operations through partnership with the Plant Manager. This position's responsibilities revolve around managing the daily plant operations, answering and assisting production supervisors with technical questions and issues, assessing the workforce performance and perform administrative support tasks such as producing progress reports and presentations, managing budgets and schedules, answering inquiries and handling calls and correspondence. Additionally, the Assistant Plant Manager role is essential to leading and encouraging the workforce
to reach goals, all while implementing the company's policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
-Daily Operations:
Manage day-to-day plant operations
Spport production supervisors with technical questions and issues
Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time completion and delivery
-Production Planning and Standards:
Coordinate production planning
Set and maintain production standards
Facilitate changes and drive best practice initiatives plant wide
-Workforce Management:
Assess workforce performance
Conduct performance evaluations for department managers
Lead and encourage the workforce to reach goals
-Administrative Support:
Produce progress reports and presentations for team members and Plant Manager
Manage budgets and schedules
Handle inquiries, calls, and correspondence
-Inventory and Procurement:
Monitor inventory for raw materials
Coordinate purchasing efforts with Plant Manager and the Procurement Manager
-Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments to ensure job specifications are met
Schedule and conduct plant meetings
Ensure meeting content aligns with production goals and best practices
-Safety Compliance:
Follow and enforce all safety processes and procedures
Drive safety metrics and protocols across all departments plant-wide
-Performance Monitoring:
Develop, initiate, and maintain KPIs for department managers
Drive accountability among all departments plant wide
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of manufacturing management experience required
Effective communication skills, both written and oral, required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook) and ERP systems required
Progressive leadership and management experience preferred
Ability to understand, troubleshoot and allocate industrial machinery to appropriate tasks and uses
Familiarity with machine maintenance and repair
Proficiency on Mechanical Computer-aided design, such as Auto-CAD and similar software, is preferred
Ability to use and train others to use programs that convert.dxf files to industrial machine files and code, inclusive of knowledge of CAD systems
Dependability and reliability to report to work are a must
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must be able to read work orders and shop drawings
Must be at least 18 years of age
Bilingual (English and Spanish, both oral and written) is a plus
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Education:
Degree in Engineering or other technical education preferred
Supervisory requirements:
Yes: department managers will report directly to the Assistant Plant Manager
