The Stanford Department of Pediatrics, Division of Rheumatology is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, motivated, and tech-savy Research Data Manager to join the Immune Behavioral Health/ PANS Research Team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, bright, and organized "do-er" and teamplayer. Successful candidates will perform complex technical work associated with Data collection, database management, data cleaning, and data integrity. This candidate will discover areas that would benefit from systematic/automatic processes to increase operational effectiveness and implement accurate and achievable solutions, ensure data collection accuracy, optimization, and integrity with the utilization/implementation of smart tools, dashboards, and workflows. They will create queries and devise plans to backfill missing data and conduct ongoing audits to ensure data reliability. The ideal incumbent will understand the big picture of our clinical research program, implement tools to achieve program goals, and fully appreciate downsteam effects of change. They will be a capable problem solver, confident decision maker, diligent change manager, and possess precise documentation skills.

Duties to include:
·Leah data collection processes/instrument design, implementation, ongoing audit
·Work under consultative or self-initiated direction to assess and produce relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, charts, graphs and tables) from structured data sources by querying data repositories and generating the associated information. Distribute and disseminate reports to applicable agencies, researchers/collaborators, management, and other internal end-users.
·Devise methods for identifying data patterns, trends in available information sources using a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques.Determine and recommend additional data collection and reporting requirements. Implement recommendations.
·Identify and eliminate redundenies and resolve data descripencies.
·Collaborate with technical staff to standardize and systemize routine reports, dashboards, and metrics.
·Mentor and supervise junior staff, interns, students and/or other research teammembers on data-related projects, methods and issues
Incumbent should expect to be on-site in Palo Alto, CA
Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the University reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs. The pay range for this position working in the California Bay area is between $77,100 to $125,054 based on commensurate experience and background.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics, or engineering.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
·In-depth knowledge and experience using and applying analytical software, database management system software, database reporting software, database user interface and query software, and data mining software.
·Expert ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases.
·Strong statistical ability.
·Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
·Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail.
·Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question.
·Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity.
·Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements.
·Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders and knowledgeholders
·Ability to take a leadership role on projects and direct junior staff to effectively complete tasks

·Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
