Workface Planner (Mechanical/Pipe & Electrical) – Kingsport, TN

• Experience performing Industrial Projects, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial.


• High School diploma or equivalent


• Strong communication skills


• Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Power Point) and other applicable software programs


• Field experience


• Demonstrate flexibility and is adaptable to change


• Ability to verify reported progress in the field


• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to self learn


• Self-motivated and proactive. Can accomplish tasks without direct oversight.

 

Project Information

Location: Kingsport, TN

Duration: 12+ Months

Per Diem available where applicable

Up to 50 hours a week to start

Summary:

The Workface Planner will have responsibility in the Advance Work Packaging/Workface Planning (AWP) effort.

Additional Functions

• Produce discipline specific Installation Work Packages (IWPs) utilizing provided templates


• Coordinate and collaborate with the respective discipline superintendents and/or general foremen and engineers to ensure that IWPs when released to the field already have the ‘buy-in’ of these key individuals


• Ensure each IWP is fully completed using the provided templates


• Participates in interactive planning sessions


• Provides input into the development of the Path of Construction

Minimum Qualifications

• Capable of handling multiple projects


• Constructability & strategy leadership


• Organization, documentation skills through project punch list and turnover


• Collaboration and team building skills


• Team oriented to work with other disciplines


• Problem solving & negotiating skills


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. 


• Firm knowledge of construction/maintenance projects in an Industrial setting


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive level internal & external clients


• Organizational & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business


• Ability to multi-task working within a team structure and independently

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Minimum 4 years of Industrial Construction Management experience


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required


• Experience in navigating 3d modeling software


• Experience in building work packages


• Experience in estimating/planning

 Requirements:

• Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift


• Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site


• Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor
