Job Description:

Horticulture Program Director

The West Central Research & Outreach Center is looking for an experienced individual to oversee the horticulture program at the WCROC. 

Job Duties include:

• participating with supervisors in the strategic planning of the program
• initiating and collaborating on research projects
• leading day-to-day operations
• managing budgets and overseeing staff. 

Required Qualifications:

• MS/MA in horticulture or a related field
• at least one years experience in the field 
• an understanding of common horticulture practices and equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Horticulture 
• experience with leadership in program management
• experience in grant development
• effective communication skills
• experience in training and supervision
