Use AutoCAD MEP 3D, Revit, and Navisworks Software:
Utilize these software tools to create and prepare BIM models for electrical systems, including distribution equipment, feeders, lighting, wiring devices, and branch circuiting.
Participate in BIM Coordination Meetings:
Engage in coordination meetings with general contractors and other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) trades to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.
Assist in Evaluation and Coordination of Material Requirements:
Work with field supervisors to assess and coordinate material needs for the project.
Create Shop Drawings:
Develop shop drawings from the 3D model to aid in the installation of electrical systems.
Ensure Delivery of Up-to-Date Drawings:
Guarantee that the latest drawings and installation instructions are delivered to the job site in a timely manner.
Efficient Document Control:
Manage and control documents related to BIM models, shop drawings, and installation instructions efficiently.
Perform Other Duties:
Undertake other tasks as assigned or requested that relate to BIM/CAD project coordination.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
1-4 years of experience in electrical design/detailing or 3D modeling.
Education:
A 2-year or 4-year degree in a related engineering, design, or construction field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with electrical systems and national and local building codes.
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
Advanced PC Skills:
Proficiency in a Windows environment, specifically with software such as Excel, Outlook, Word, Bluebeam Revu, and related applications.
Pay range and compensation package: $62,000 - $72,000
