Duties and Responsibilities:
The new case management system's data migration will involve a comprehensive transfer of existing data from the Bitfocus platform into the Salesforce environment, ensuring data integrity, security, and accuracy throughout the process. The specialist will report to the Project Manager and work closely with internal teams. The specialist will also need to work closely with the Business Knowledge Expert and work in unison to ensure proper data mapping and migration.
The key objectives are:
1. Data Assessment and Mapping:- Conduct a thorough review of the current data within the Bitfocus system.- Follow and study the current data mapping strategy- Complete the development of the data mapping strategy to align existing data fields with the structure of the new Salesforce environment.
2. Data Cleansing and Transformation:- Identify any data inconsistencies, duplicates, or inaccuracies within the Bitfocus system.- Cleanse and transform the data to ensure compatibility and proper formatting within Salesforce.
3. Data Extraction and Loading:- Extract data from the Bitfocus system, ensuring secure handling and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.- Populate the extracted and cleansed data into the Salesforce templates. Work with the developer to ensure proper data mapping and migration.- Following best practices, load the cleansed and transformed data into the new Salesforce environment.- Execute data transformation and load it into the Salesforce environment.
4. Validation and Testing:- Conduct comprehensive testing for all migrated data to verify relationships, dependencies, and functionality against the legacy system's requirements.- Ensuring data integrity and security throughout the migration process.
5. Documentation and Support:- Document all migration steps, including issues encountered and resolutions, for future reference.- Support users and stakeholders to ensure the new system functions as expected and address post-migration issues.
Requirements:
Contract personnel or data migration specialist proficient in SQL queries, with knowledge of Salesforce data architecture preferred
Collaborate with the project team to extract data, validate, and ingestion into Salesforce. This includes meeting with the project team every day during working sessions.
Experience in data migration and database management, particularly with SQL queries.
Familiarity with Salesforce data architecture is a plus.
