LOCATION: Bldg. 955, Eglin AFB, FL

POSTING DATE: Available to Internal Applicants and External Applicants (10/23/2024)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides assistance to Buyers with writing justification documents, negotiating terms and conditions and preparing insurance waivers, and any issues on complex orders.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Processing both construction and non-construction procurements requiring Contracting Officer consent/approval.
  • Preparing all documentation to include RFP's, sole source justification, bid abstracts, MFR's, duty-free requests.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions and preparing insurance waivers.
  • Prepare all purchase order documentation to include request for proposal, sole source justification, bid abstracts, and memorandum for record
  • Preparing PO Package for review/approval.
  • Documenting vendor performance.
  • Contract administration & closeout.
  • Assist Purchasing Assistant with market research, developing RFO/RFP packages.
  • Enter data into multiple computer applications.
  • Coordinates with Accounts Payable to ensure purchase order pricing and terms are met.
  • Organize and implements strategies with Procurement Analysts to accomplish Small Business and Disadvantaged Plan goals.


Job Requirements:

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business related field desired. Minimum of 10 years procurement buying experience is desired.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and (DFARS) is highly desired.
  • Costpoint experience, personal computer skills related to purchasing and associated software.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills are required.
  • Excellent typing and data entry skills are required.
  • Must be able to use independent judgment to make decisions.
  • Requires high level of professionalism and work ethics. Must be a self-starter that is able to multi-task.
  • CAC holder would be very beneficial

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area in an office setting on Eglin AFB, FL.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires very little lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials and require very little lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials. May require sitting for long periods of time.
